Know the Facts About Composite Fillings

What are the advantages & disadvantages of composite?

What are Composite Fillings?

A composite filling is the modern, aesthetic alternative to silver fillings. The obvious advantage of composite fillings are the wonderful aesthetics they bring. Composites can be matched to your natural tooth color so perfectly that only your dentist will know they are there. The other advantages of tooth-colored fillings are not so obvious. With modern bonding techniques, less tooth structure is removed when compared to the requirements for silver fillings (in short, placing these fillings is a less invasive procedure). The less tooth structure removed, the stronger the tooth remains. If you are interested in more information, contact our office today at (520) 323-9327
